Kristi’s Answer

In college I joined our school's Business Fraternity and other organizations in and outside of my major. I was interested to network and learn more in Business and Marketing, so I started joining organization through my school. Attend any and all club callouts as you can so you can see if you connect with the other members.

Hello. There are a wide variety of activities, organizations, clubs, and groups that you can get involved in once you're in college. I concur with every responder who has pointed you towards some of those wonderful opportunities.

I would caution you against getting over committed to too many extracurricular engagements. The free time that you're used to having will likely not be as abundant in college. A good college education is usually rather time-consuming and you don't want to lose sight of your primary reason for attending college, which is probably more than just finding neat clubs to join.

Serge V.’s Answer

Hi Zainab J.

During my college experience, I had the opportunity to attend sporting events, group events, volunteering in college, and doing internships. You will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy activities in college. Just make sure you will enjoy the activity you decided to participate in and make sure you network during the activities. I hope this helps you out.

Hi Zainab! There are a variety of activities in college; for example you could join clubs, volunteer, do sports, etc. It's a great way to get involved and meet people, and I think there is something for everyone's interests. In my college and I'm assuming in other colleges as well there is SGA, the Student Government Association, that helps in coordinating events to attend on campus. You can receive emails about a variety of events and clubs and their meeting times as well. This will help you in figuring out what you like to do and what clubs and activities you'd like to participate in!

Best of luck!
