As a civil engineering student, what is the best time to take the F.E. exam?

I will be graduating in May I already took it last year and failed and of course I plan on taking it again. Do companies look for you to have already taken it before you graduate or is it acceptable to take it afterwards?

Many thanks. #feexam #fecivil ##civilengineering

I've found it to be acceptable to take it afterwards, particularly if the job market is looking to hire new graduates. If you're interviewing for a job, I would recommend you tell the interviewer that you plan to take the FE soon.

In terms of new graduate resume value, internships are far superior to FE certification.

Hi Jessica,
I recommend taking it one semester before your graduation when you have taken 95% of your classes and you have all the knowledge fresh in your head.
