What are high school classes that I should take to pursue a journalism career?

I am not sure what classes are available to me as a freshmen besides English 9.

Learn to type. Seriously. You need to learn how to type properly and not just be content with pecking at the keyboard with one or two fingers. The typing class I took in high school was one of the most valuable courses I ever had in terms of how much it still benefits my daily work as both a journalist and a teacher.

I would suggest taking any classes or even clubs related to working on the school yearbook, writing classes of all kinds, and even speech class.
