Hey Martin!

I've found an excellent resource that can provide you with a comprehensive overview of the prerequisites and education necessary to pursue a career in dentistry in the US. Here's the link for your convenience:
https://www.usnews.com/education/best-graduate-schools/articles/how-to-get-into-dental-school-and-become-a-dentist

In addition, the American Dental Association's website is a treasure trove of information, detailing the credit requirements for this field. To gain a deeper understanding of the academic workload and cost implications, I'd recommend exploring some dental school websites like LECOM or the University of Alabama's dental programs. This should give you a clear picture of what lies ahead.

Remember, I'm here if you need any further assistance or have more questions. Wishing you all the best on this exciting journey!

Embarking on your college journey, you'll dive into a variety of basic science courses, culminating in a four-year degree. Choose a major that sparks your interest and joy, while concurrently taking these science courses. This way, you're not only following your passion but also creating a safety net for any potential changes in your path. Your journey will then lead you to take your graduate boards, a stepping stone towards applying to a dental school.

Interestingly, the graduate programs for both medicine and dentistry share a lot of common ground, so your preparation will serve you well in either field. It's true, this journey can be a lengthy one, often stretching beyond 8 years. Yet, remember that time flies when you're engrossed in something you love. So, if you find joy in this path, you're setting yourself up for a career that's not just rewarding, but also deeply fulfilling.

The first step to be a dentist is to research and watch YouTube videos about dentistry and if you are 100% sure that you like it, apply for a scholarship at the university or also a good option is to study to be a dental hygienist, there you will get many opportunities to build that beautiful path of dentistry
