Does it really matter where I go to school for a computer science degree?

I want to get a bachelor's degree in computer science and a master's degree in something in that field, but a little more specific. Does it really matter where I go for my bachelor's?

Allen’s Answer

Hi Anna - You want to be able to find a comp sci program that fits your needs. A college education is very important in starting your career. Make sure to look for a reputable program but again meets alot of what you're looking to get out of the program.

Alejandro’s Answer

Not at all! There are employees in big companies that are completely self-taught and are great engineers and developers! If you feel that you would learn more through a university or college, then really look at it from a higher perspective.

Rafael A.’s Answer

If you are referring to Public vs Private colleges - my answer will be no. It does not matter. Many successful leaders started out their education in a Public / State school - which offers a lower tuition alternative compared to Private colleges.
