How hard is the Paramedics class?

In comparison to the Basic class how hard is Paramedics? #Iwishididntneedahastag #pediatrics #medicine #hospital-and-health-care

Thank you comment icon Hi James, Taking the actual paramedic class is not hard. Just like with any new course, you will have to study and be prepared for the exam and test that come along with the course. I would check with the school your interested in attending if there’s is a overview course to attend first free of charge so that you can a feel for the expectations from the courses! Good luck Talicia Phoenix

It wasn’t hard for me at all. I found it easier than the basic. It seemed that the struggle with other students, even my own students, was the cardiology portion of the class. Get an Advanced Cardiac Life Support text book before you even apply for paramedic school. I did and I was fortunate enough to take the ACLS class. ACLS is not a pre req. for the paramedic school. All that I did to pass the test, was study the book. Then the same material is repeated in paramedic school. That will give you one step up. The clinical portion of the paramedic class can be physically exhausting, but it sure was fun. You can call the EMS division in Davenport, IA. (Scott County EMS) or Quad Cities EMS. See if you can talk with some of the paramedics. They may let you ride along with them. I was able to ride with the paramedics before I went to paramedic school. What an inspiration that was. I did this on my own, aside from basic EMT class.
