Hi,
Here is a link and a partial list of jobs that you can get with a degree in IS/IT. This is a wide open field and in college, you will learn the basics of IT and Computers, then you can decide what your specific interests are and take courses in your interest area as electives. I work for a large computer manufacturer in Texas and there are literally thousands of jobs in sales, technical support, technical sales, programming, networking and more.
Good luck!

This degree opens up a lot of career opportunities. You could pursue roles in IT consulting companies (e.g., Ernst & Young, Accenture, Deloitte & Touche) or pursue a career in a corporation working within the IT division. Every company has an IT division.

There are many roles you can pursue with this degree. I would suggest finding a university that offers an internship or co-op program that may allow you to experience some of these different roles as you complete your studies.

After completing your major(s), you will have a wide/wealth of knowledge on different technologies and how they tie into each other. But usually the best way to get into the industry is to find something that your either already good at or atleast better compared to the other technologies and get very good at, so that it can get you through the door and then you can work on getting better on all the other technologies that you might be interested in, in-relation to your career goals moving forward.
