How do you find internships?
In college I would like to have an internship involving robotics, it is a specific area of engineering in which I don't know if there's going to be a lot of internships opportunities. If you had the chance to do an internship in college, how were you able to participate in it? and, what advice do you have when it comes to internships?

Hey Emilia,
I'm a computer engineering student at Penn State. My advice would be to put yourself out there. Companies love interns because its their chance to hire and train the best young talent available. I would suggest looking into opportunities your school offers you such as career fairs. You can also search job boards, or if you have a company in mind, you can directly apply or contact them with a resume.
From personal experience, I've had most of my success from career fairs, so I would start there. After that, you can supplement the career fair with online applications to more companies.

Hi Emilia,
I hope you are having an amazing day. I found my internship through campus recruiting. Employees from the company came out to visit our campus. They spoke with us about the company and the internship and full time opportunities they would be hiring for. They setup interviews with some hiring managers. After you interview they will call you to either setup another interview or make an offer.
Make sure you learn as much as possible.

Hi Emilia,
I am a rising junior majoring in computer science at Georgia Tech. It's great to know that you're interested in robotics. The field is growing more than ever. My advice is to network as much as you can. When you go to career fairs, speak to the recruiters, take down their names, reach out to them on LinkedIn. They meet so many people, so you need to stand out.
If you're seeking an internship, seek it aggressively. This means that you should try to take advantage of any career oriented events you have on or off campus. Most importantly, apply apply apply! Ask your peers that are juniors or seniors to help you out through the application process. Out of those several applications, a few recruiters will reach out to you. That's just how it works. Just keep trying, and I'm sure you will be able to find something.
Best of luck!
