Do I have to be a people person to work as a doctor?
I'm a pretty good "people" person, but I do struggle with understanding and dealing with people's actions and emotions. I know nurses deal with patients for the most amount of time, but I don't want my lack of social skills to affect the patient in a negative way. #doctor #patient-care

There is a career in medicine for nearly every personality type!
If you do not consider yourself an extrovert, you can look into pathology or radiology. These are both very rewarding careers

You don't have to be a "people" person but it certainly helps. However, it's something you will learn and improve on through school and working with patients, you'll learn how to empathize properly. The fact that you're worried about it means that you'll work on improving yourself. Don't let it stop you from doing what you want!

Absolutely not. My dad is a physician and is not a "people person." He is a radiologist and spends the majority of the day in a room by himself looking at x-rays. He enjoys his job immensely.
