What are some steps can a online merchant take for building the success of the future and how to keep up with organization?

Hi. My name is Katy and I'm in 10th grade. I have many interests in creating many DIY (Do It Yourself) projects. It is a hobby of mine and a passion that I want to pursue. I want to pursue a business out of my own projects. During the process, I want to get to know more of how to get started and what would be best to be done to make sure that I know what I am doing. And how to handle consumers and how the business itself works with the online technology. #business #online #projects #merchant

Hi,
Great question and I applaud your motivation and desire to know what you want at a young age. Please continue to learn as much as you can about your passion and stick with it.
Your question has a lot of answers...the best way I can think of to answer it for now is to offer you some resources and links to do some more research with - these all have to do with building an online business:

http://www.dummies.com/how-to/content/starting-an-online-business-allinone-for-dummies-c.html

(please do not be insulted by "dummies" in the title if you have never heard of these books, they have been around for a long time and are all written by experts in their fields)

There are a lot of good resources online and in books that can help you reach your goal...stay motivated, inquisitive and try to learn as much as you can. Building a website these days is very easy and there are a lot of good companies that can help you build and maintain it.
Good luck!

This is awesome, Katy! I applaud your initiative, enthusiasm and ingenuity! I'd suggest you also join LinkedIn and follow entrepreneurs like Sara Blakely (founder of Spanx), Emily Weiss (Glossier), Shan-Lyn Ma (Zola), Payal Kadakia (Classpass), and other inspiring women who started their own businesses and have had tons of success!
