I hope these articles help. Ideally you will want to practice constantly and have a personal coach to help you out. You can begin to scout colleges with competitive basketball teams and try to get a full ride through them. I would pay extra close attention to the 2nd link.

It takes a lot of hard work on the basketball court, in the weightroom, and in the classroom. The better you do in the classroom, the more doors stay open to you in the NCAA (Eligibility). The current professional basketball landscape makes it imperative to play at major Division 1 program for scouting purposes and resume (for overseas).
