Going to office hours is easy! Make sure you prepare some questions in advance to stimulate some discussion, whether they are about class material, the professor's experience, career questions, etc. Building a relationship is not possible in one session – you have to make an effort to go a few times throughout the semester to get close with your professor. However, the more often you go, the easier it id to build a rapport and the less you will have to "prepare" for these meetings. It can definitely be helpful especially if you need a letter of recommendation in the future.

This is a fantastic question! Going into college, everyone says "go to your professor's office hours". However, this can be a daunting task for some! I was pretty nervous to just show up to my professor's office and start asking questions. However, the only way to get comfortable doing it is to just do it. I recommend having questions ready to ask and a notebook to write down what they say. Professors are more than happy to help with more than just class material, however! Professors love to talk about career opportunities, benefits of the major in which they teach, and how they ended up in their profession! Listening to their advice can be incredibly helpful in choosing a major and deciding what to do with your life.
