Katie’s Answer

Traditionally, college major has no bearing in success as a professional athlete. Instead it hinges on physical ability and potential, so hours spent at practice are a better indicator of potential success. However, that isn't to say college choice doesn't matter, several sports (including basketball) have intellectual components which can increase your understanding of the game, and increasing your skill level. So even though precise major doesn't matter, it is important to pursue some level of higher education to become a more rounded basketball player, as well as person.
