What level of education is needed to be firefighter?

I am a senior. I was wondering what level or type or education is needed to be a firefighter. I am asking because does it take a level of education to save lives and protect the community #education #firefighting #protection

Hi,
Most fire departments only require a HS diploma or maybe 1-2 years of college.
Most departments are run by cities so they do set their own hiring requirements, I would check with your local fire dept.to see what they are in your area. I found the link for you and included it below:

any type of firefighting you need to have a type of training wether it be structural or wildland I am a former wildland firefighter I had a lot to train we had to know our tools the different parts to it hiking a lot of working out to stay in shape
