Henrique’s Answer

As a marketer, you'll always be in the business of helping others. Your main role is to assist them, offering innovative marketing strategies and services that propel your customers towards their goals. Therefore, it's safe to say that a successful marketing career requires a commitment to aiding brands, businesses, and customers. This is part of what makes working in marketing so rewarding. Picture yourself as a nurse or doctor, but instead of treating patients, you're nurturing brands and businesses. You'll help them flourish and evolve by understanding their needs and engaging with them, enabling your clients (whether internal or external) to excel. Enjoy the journey!

Hey Irie! It's awesome that you're already thinking about your future career path! Both marketing and real estate are exciting fields with lots of opportunities. Here are some ways that being helpful can contribute to your job as a marketing specialist:

Building Relationships: In marketing, building strong relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues is crucial. Being helpful demonstrates that you're someone people can rely on and trust. When clients feel supported and valued, they're more likely to continue working with you and recommend your services to others.

Understanding Customer Needs: Being helpful means listening to your customers and understanding their needs and preferences. By empathizing with their challenges and offering solutions, you can create marketing campaigns and strategies that resonate with them and drive results.

Providing Value: Effective marketing is all about providing value to your target audience. Whether it's through informative content, helpful tips, or personalized recommendations, being helpful in your marketing efforts can attract and retain customers, ultimately leading to business growth.

Problem Solving: As a marketing specialist, you'll encounter various challenges and obstacles along the way. Being helpful means approaching these challenges with a positive attitude and finding creative solutions that benefit your clients or company.

Creating Trust and Loyalty: In both marketing and real estate, trust is essential. By being helpful and genuinely caring about your clients' success, you can build trust and loyalty over time. Clients are more likely to work with someone they trust and feel comfortable with, which can lead to long-term relationships and referrals.

Differentiating Yourself: In competitive industries like marketing and real estate, being helpful can help you stand out from the crowd. When you go above and beyond to assist your clients and exceed their expectations, you set yourself apart as a trusted and reliable professional.

First I just gotta say, enjoy being a kid. You don’t have to have your career completely figured out yet. It’s nice to have a goal but you have plenty of years to figure out if that goal wants to change. I say this AS a marketing specialist. (Content Marketing)

To directly answer your question though, being helpful is a good trait for ANY career. Customers/clients will look to you for answers, and if you don’t have those answers, they’ll expect you to find them. Never answer with “I don’t know.” If you don’t know, respond with “I will find out for you!” And then do just that… find out for them. 🤗
