Yes! There are definitely other jobs in the field of education. You could be a social worker that works at a school. In order to do that, you would need a degree in social work. You could also work as a paraprofessional, which is like an assistant teacher. You don't need an extra degree for that. You could also be a tutor or work for a nonprofit that does after school activities. You could also work for an organization that does education work, like Teach for America or the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Or you could work for a Teacher's Union or a group that lobbies the government on education issues. You could also work for the Department of Education. There are tons of ways to work in education that don't involve being a teacher. Some, like being a social worker or doing after school activities, would allow you to work with kids, and others, like working for the Department of Education or for an organization that does education lobbying, would be more office work. Most of those positions don't require extra degrees, unless you want to be a social worker or have a leadership position, like as a principal or assistant principal, in which case you would need a masters in education administration. Hope that helps!

Many colleges provide incredible teaching programs. A few of the best in the nation are Johns Hopkins University, NYU, and UConn
Teaching involves a number of different skills and qualities. I would say the most important are:
- People skills - being friendly and working well with others. You will need to be personable, caring, kind, friendly, compassionate, and understanding. These qualities make a great teacher. But you also need to be stern and firm in your directions, rules, and discipline
- Public speaking - every day in your class you will need to be able to speak and present information to your students, practice speech, and practice fluency of language and talking in front of others
- The subject you plan to teach - become a master of the subject you plan to teach, make sure you know as much as possible and learn as much as you can about the subject you plan to teach. Take as many classes as possible in this subject and learn everything you can about it.
- Psychology & Human Development - start reading books and research articles on human development and psych. It will be helpful for you to know how people learn at different stages and the best ways to teach them at these stages (depending on stage of development and schema).

Hello Edaviene,
There are other options within the education that are not necessarily related to the activity of teaching. I for example I have graduate degrees in education and I did a specialization in Business Education for work in the field of education and training of people. Currently, I write and develop courses for organizations in the areas of e-learning for teachers and students. You can also act on the Human Resources of a company, giving training to the employees. ;
The first step is to graduate degrees in education, and pursue a post graduate in Business Education. Alternatively, are specializations in the areas of:
- School Administration (to act with direction and coordination);
- Educational Guidance (to become a counselor at the school);
- School Supervision (to contribute as a school supervisor).
I hope I have helped. Good Luck!

If you want to go that route you can also major in business and/or entrepreneurial studies. Check this link out also: http://www.entrepreneur.com/slideshow/237330 "Top 25 Colleges for Entrepreneurship for 2015 (Undergrad)"
