I honestly haven't seen a correlation between a specific major and someone's network. It is more based on a person's skill to successfully network and reaching out to people to build their network. Make sure you know your "story": a brief description of your background and aspirations. It is always good to have a purpose to networking whether it is looking for specific expertise or opportunities.
But the best advice I have gotten for successful networking is to look for something that you can help someone else with. This way you forge a relationship with them and they feel grateful that you are willing to help them. Then they are always willing to return the favor.

Hi Roberto, have you looked into AMA (American Marketing Association) or SBMA (Small Business Marketing Association) or possibly a college with an undergraduate sales program? Many marketing majors (including myself) start their careers in some type of sales capacity. Hope this helps.

Hi Roberto,
Great Question, I happened to double major in Both Marketing and Business. I found that each has its merits, but what my marketing major taught me was to think creatively and build off of ideas whereas my Business Major typically taught me to take a harder analytical approach to analyze things.
I believe one is more creative where the other lives in a world where there are clearly defined boundaries etc. The best way to think of this is Advertising vs. Accounting. Both are necessary for any business to succeed and thrive, but each has different characteristics.
Ultimately regardless of what you decide, you can apply each major to a flourishing career in business.
