There are many US-based companies that have finance offices and hubs globally, including the Company I work at. I recommend you search job boards and LinkedIn - there is a ton of opportunity out there! We have just hired over 20 accounting professionals in Bangalore last year alone.
The link below shows some of the roles that Okta has open in Bangalore - including an Accounting one. There are many other companies that will have similar openings.

Hello again, Ruqia !
I am happy to see that you are asking more questions here !
It may be possible to obtain a remote position working for a company in the United States. The way you can find answers to this question, which doesn't just have one answer, is to read about the accountant positions on all of the employment websites you can find. You will have to read each individual notice for each individual company. Each company in the U.S. has their own individual requests from the applicants.
Some companies may state that they seek applicants in the U.S. only. Some employers may state that they are opening their positions internationally and have a way of paying the people the equivalent of the USD for the value of their country's money. Some employers will want people to be U.S. Citizens and some may not. So this is a very broad question that doesn't have a blanket answer.
Something that you can do which may be helpful would be to contact the American Pakistan Foundation. I have left a link to their website below. I am sure that they could be a wonderful resource and may even be hiring for their own organization. They can explain what it would be like to work for an American company and how payment would be. You can also contact your Overseas Pakistanis Foundation to find out what they may suggest or inform you with.
The employment websites that may help you out would be Indeed and Linked In. Register at those sites and read the employment notices and apply for something that fits what you are looking for. Be certain about the payment process, though because American employment pays in USD and you don't want to be surprised about how you will be paid. Each place has a different way and different options, so that will be important, too.
I hope that this is helpful and I wish you all the best !

Hello Ruqia,
Securing a remote job is absolutely within your reach.
(i) Craft a Robust Resume: Showcase your accounting expertise, educational background, and any pertinent work experience. If you hold any professional credentials such as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), they should be prominently featured.
(ii) Utilize Online Job Portals: Harness the power of job search engines like LinkedIn, Indeed, and Glassdoor. Additionally, websites like FlexJobs and Remote.co are dedicated to listing remote job opportunities.
(iii) Leverage Networking: Networking can significantly boost your job hunt. Engage with industry professionals on platforms like LinkedIn, become a part of relevant groups, and actively contribute to discussions.
(iv) Investigate Potential Employers: Certain companies are more receptive to hiring remote employees than others. Conduct thorough research and aim for companies renowned for their remote work policies.
(v) Articulate Communication: In your job application and during interviews, be transparent about your circumstances and your capability to work remotely. Emphasize any previous remote work experience you have.
(vi) Familiarize Yourself with US Accounting Standards: If you're seeking a job in the US, it's crucial to either have a solid understanding of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) or be open to learning them.
(vii) Get Ready for Virtual Interviews: It's highly probable that your interviews will be held virtually. Make sure you're ready to make a good impression during a video interview.
(viii) Legal Implications: Consider the legal aspects of working for a US company while being overseas. It may be necessary to discuss this with potential employers to understand how they manage international employees.
Keep in mind, the competition for remote jobs can be intense and the process may be lengthy. Stay patient and keep pushing forward. Best of luck!

Hi Ruqia,
I see you already got really good answers here. I do want to add that I expect you would need the right qualifications, meaning a US firm will probably only hire people who studied in the US or studied something equivalent. I am an attorney myself and not a CPA, so I can't be specific for accountants, but I do work at an accounting firm. I had to obtain my US master's degree in the United States even though I already had my master's degree in law from a good university in Europe.
I hope this helps, happy to answer any further questions!
