Andrew’s Answer

Stay true to who you are, but also embrace the opportunity to learn each day. The more receptive you are to knowledge and personal growth, the more attractive you become to others. Success and wealth will naturally come your way, but remember, it all begins with you!

Jasmine’s Answer

Hi Zaine,

I think the answer to your question truly depends on how long it takes you to build trust with those in your network. When your prospective client trusts your ability to provide sound council, services, or products, the client base will build on its own. If you take a more intentional approach about building those relationships and cultivating them on a consistent basis, not just when you want them to support your goals or business, you will build that client base and reputation in no time. Additionally, if you have existing clients, your reputation is dependent on how you treat your current client base. Make sure your existing clients are taken care of and feel like they are getting proper service from you, as they will be a source of continuing business and can also help through referrals. At the firm I work at, PwC, we offer resources to help young people like you get started on that career journey. I have provided a short summary of the mentoring offerings that we provide and think the resources will be helpful for your journey. I hope this helps!

MAURICE’s Answer

When you stay true to yourself, it doesn't take long for clients to trust you. It's not about selling to them, but genuinely assisting them. With my clients, I aim to make our interactions feel less like business and more like friendship. It's about building friendships rather than just partnerships. The advice I give is the same advice I would take if I were in their shoes. Honesty is key - I am always straightforward with them. I strive to make them feel comfortable and confident in my knowledge. Knowing what to say and how to say it is crucial. Watch as your client list flourishes when you adopt this approach.

Melanie’s Answer

Hello Zaine,

Building a solid reputation requires your consistent dedication, hard work, and a showcase of your achievements. The timeline for this can vary greatly as it is influenced by factors such as your productivity and the nature of your clientele. It could range from a couple of months to even a year or two.

As you continue to build up your reputation and hone your skills, don't hesitate to ask for referrals. This will help you expand your network and, in turn, you'll notice a steady increase in your client base.

Good luck!
