When you are organizing a team you want to find other people that can contribute different points of view to the goals your are trying to accomplish. Once you select their team you will leverage their strengths to work together completing a goal.

For any project to be done, identify what are the key tasks, get the team to volunteer to own the tasks, set dates for when the same will get reviewed. Make sure you ask everyone for suggestions and listen to them. If you don't have a answer then ask the team. Remember you are part of the team too. So lead by getting involved.

Teamwork is hugely important in college and in the workplace. Most projects do require a team of diverse skills, perspectives, and resources to get done successfully. The best way to approach a team project is to spend some time at the beginning scoping out the required tasks to complete it. Lead your team through documenting this outline and then go through and gain agreement on who will be tasking each task. If you don't have a project manager assigned to getting the group together at consistent intervals for check-ins, select someone from the team to be the coordinator. Calendar these meetings, send out the agenda in advance, and make sure people send delegates if they cannot attend. At the end of the meeting, follow up with meeting minutes and next steps. If you are a leader, be an active participant in the team. Lead by example and keep the team moving together. If issues arise, have the necessary conversations to resolve them before they sabotage the entire project. Hope this helps!
