Hi, Ray,
I think the best tip about studying is to be organized. Have a calendar on an electronic device or on paper, such as in a planner, where you write down all your test dates, paper due dates, and smaller assignment due dates. Estimate backward from the due date how much time you will need to study/complete assignments. Then you can assign study hours far enough ahead to be sure to have enough time to get things done. Write down your study plan for the week, including breaks, meals, clubs and other obligations on your schedule. It’s important to plan in breaks because we are only human, not machines. Take 10 min. every hour or so to relax, stretch, stay hydrated and get a healthful snack if you’re hungry. Put your smartphone away out of reach during study times! Other organizational tips are to outline before you write a paper. Try to use more than one of your senses when studying facts and terms: read it, say it and write it down.
Are you thinking of becoming a physical therapist? That’s great! Study biology in high school and consider a degree in kinesiology or biology in college before physical therapy school, which is often a 3-year degree program after your bachelor’s degree. Physical therapy assistants can start with a bachelor’s degree.
