Follow your passion, that's when you'll know. If there's something you can see yourself waking up excited about and doing every single day, let that be your guide. Don't get caught up in the having the degree define you. YOU define You. Many people graduate with a degree in one field of study and find themselves working in another field. Others graduate and work in their field for years but feel feel unfulfilled by it, because they entered into it for the wrong reasons; not because they were passionate about it. If you do what you Love , you'll never work a day in your life.

Without a little more to go on, this question is difficult to answer. That is because in some fields, such as Liberal Arts, it's pretty easy to move around from one area to another, and lots of us change majors or career fields fairly easily. I'm not quite so sure that would work in the sciences/healthcare/etc, but, I'm not in those fields.
I don't think a person can ever be positive about what they want to do. I had a customer who decided to change career paths after getting his master's in HS education (math) because once he started to teach, he realized there were many students who did not want to learn, and he was not prepared to deal with that. This is to say, there will almost always be aspects of a job that college does not teach you, and these just might be "deal breakers."
So, you learn everything you can, talk to everyone you can, and try to get the complete picture. But even then, suppose it is everything you ever dreamed of, but then one day something else catches your eye, and you decide you want to go in a different direction? Don't be afraid of changing your mind (within reason) and exploring new opportunities. That is what makes life interesting!
Just do the research, and go with your best decision!
Enjoy the adventure!
