As a current college student, one of the most important factors to consider is money. Private/out-of-state colleges will be a lot more expensive than a school in-state/close to home. You also have to consider the commute and the other costs of living in that college's area. However, don't let the cost of the school deter you from applying at all. Many schools offer scholarships.
When making your college list, consider:
- does it have a good program for the major you want?
- how is the location/weather?
- what is the student demographic?
- does it have clubs you'd join?

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. In fact, different colleges have strength in different subjects. Firstly, you need to find out what careers you have interest. The relevant subject is the major you can focus and explore the colleges that are good at those subjects.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc. and identify the related careers
E.g. If you like music, would you like to be a musician, singer, musical artist, music producer, music composer, etc.
If you have interest in maths, would you like to be an accountant, banker, engineer, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue. The relevant subjects would be the major and minor you can look for.
5. Explore the colleges reviews on these subjects and the entry criteria. Work hard on the academic to meet the entry criteria
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

In essence, there's no such thing as a "perfect" college. However, when it comes to selecting a college, it's crucial to find one that aligns with your needs and aspirations. Here are some factors to ponder: the college's location, its size, unique programs it provides, tuition fees, accommodation, and many more. For instance, if you're a sports enthusiast, you might want to look into a college with a robust athletic program. Alternatively, if you're passionate about something like dance, an arts-focused school could be your ideal choice. Remember, the journey to finding the right college is not a race. Take your time, do your homework, and ultimately choose the college that will serve YOU best. It's your future, make it count!

Great question, Hope. I would add the words "for me" to your question because the answer depends upon your interests and preferences. So the best college for you may not be the best college for someone else. Some things to consider:
- Is it in a part of the country / world you are interested in?
- Is the college challenging but not ridiculously hard?
- Does the college have the major(s) you're interested in?
- If it has core requirements for graduation, could you complete them without much trouble?
- If you have a hobby/sport you love, could you pursue it there (even if not on a varsity level)?
- Do you feel comfortable there? This relates to size of the campus and number of students, urban versus suburban feel, look of the buildings, importance of athletics, class size, etc. You can get a feel from photos and virtual tours, but this will be obvious when you visit, which I encourage you to do.
Remember this is for you so the answer may not be the most well-known schools, but that is okay. Good luck!
