Hello Juele,
It is a very good and interesting question.
It could be easy to say, you just know and feel that a job is the one for you, but there is much more to it.
For sure, if you are passionate about a topic, you can reflect on the jobs you can perform within given field. For example, if you are into literature, you can find many options - librarian, teacher, critic, theater career, and many more.
It can also happen you find out a job is right for you from working at it. You might start a job because you want to earn money, that you have not though could be the most interesting at that point in life, and later find out it is, and you fell happy and confident at it.
Also, it might happen, that while you grow, learn, get experience, you will find more than one dream job for you.
I would like to tell as well, that it is perfectly ok to need some time and trials before you find your place. As there is many definitions to what is a dream job, it might not be immediate to either find, either recognize.
The most important is, to find joy, confidence and fulfillment in what you are doing.
To find a place where you feel appreciated, treated with dignity and recognized. A place where you can earn decent money and provide for yourself and your loved ones, and to which you enjoy going.
It is not always the case, unfortunately, but if you will find a place like this, I think you will get the feeling you are looking for.
Focus also on yourself - think what are the things you like to do and what you like to learn.
Which kind of people you like to work/study with.
How you like to perform tasks.
Are you more of an outdoor or indoor person.
Do you prefer to sit and study, do routines, or you like to perform, or be on the run most of the time.
Those aspects will also indicate which job might be a good fit for you.
For example, let's say you are have an interest in history. Maybe you like to spend time reading and discussing different subjects. Or perhaps you prefer to go to museums, explore architectural and archeological sites. Those differences can already tell a bit, if you might feel better working at college, working as a tour guide, working as an archeologist or as an art expert.
There are very many factors that can influence your career choice. Take your time, analyze what you will like to do.
Try to meet people from fields and workplaces you feel and find interesting and ask them how their days look like, what they like about their job.
You could read blogs and watch channels of people working in specific fields, and join work career meetings and campus open days, where you can get to know different companies and ask them about the job roles they have.
It can be a nice thing to enroll in some summer work camps or internships so that you can experience and learn more about a specific job position.
Write down everything you feel is important for you and those notes will guide you in your search.
And please note it is ok to change your mind, switch a career, explore new alternatives and fields along your life.
Wishing you to find what you enjoy doing and find a job you will feel happy and fulfilled at. Cheers!
