There's a world of free online art classes waiting for you to explore. You can start by diving into YouTube, where countless artists offer tutorials on everything from drawing and painting to digital art. Additionally, websites like Skillshare, Udemy, and Coursera often provide free introductory art courses. Social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok are also great resources, with many artists sharing tips, techniques, and mini-lessons for free. Joining online art communities and forums can connect you with fellow artists who share knowledge and resources, while library resources like Lynda.com or CreativeBug might offer free access to online learning platforms with art classes. And don't forget the power of self-directed learning and experimentation—set aside time to practice regularly, try out different techniques, and learn from your own experiences. With dedication and curiosity, you can continue to develop your artistic skills and express your creativity without spending any money.
Thank you for the advice.

Hello Max,
What a nice passion you are developing!
If you have a busy schedule, and also want free content, I would suggest to try google academy courses as well as checking at you local library if there are free courses, that you could join for free - online, or sometimes in person, when times allows..
I would encourage you to also check with Art Schools, if there are programs that can allow non-student to attend or listen to any recorded sessions.
And perhaps, you could ask at Your school, if it would be possible to add some additional hours or targeted courses about art.
Lastly, on YouTube there are many channels dedicated to art history as well as different types descriptions and guides on how to evolve in any topic, and you can access them anytime.
Have fun with learning, and I wish you to become very skilled and enjoy this journey!

Great query! YouTube is a treasure trove of diverse techniques that can be a boon for you. As a photographer, I've tapped into numerous educational resources available there. It's not just limited to photography; I've found it useful for other artistic mediums too. For example, when I wanted to resin a painting for the first time, I discovered invaluable tips from artists who mastered this technique. The same applies to painting. If you're a Creative Cloud user, you'll find a plethora of similar tutorial videos there.
When it comes to formal education, I often participate in various organizations that offer advanced learning opportunities, including professional artists, art history, and events. I would recommend you to register with organizations that align with your artistic medium and follow their guidance. Nowadays, museums also host numerous online events.
Here are some actionable steps for you to embark on your exploration journey:
1. Start exploring YouTube for different techniques related to your medium.
2. If you have Creative Cloud, look for tutorial videos.
3. Join organizations related to your artistic medium for advanced learning.
4. Attend online events hosted by museums.
I wish you all the best in your endeavor. I'm eager to hear about your discoveries and your journey through this process.
Best regards,
Ginny Mangrum
