What companies are interested in people with an economics degree and a dream to become an investment banker?
I am a high school senior who is going to be graduating this summer. I wanted to go into an economics major, but I did not know what my future would look like with that degree. I am very interested in studying a math related topic being that it is my favorite subject. A career where I would have to use math is something I would enjoy greatly. #career-path #economics #investment-banker #companies

Economics major is a great choice for banking related jobs since finance theory/tools/rules are usually the focus for a lot of undergrad Econ classes. Math, Statistics and CS are also some great fields to study in for finance related careers these days, especially for technical positions like financial engineers.
And just want to point out that there are a lot of different career paths you can take where math is used. Be open-minded and good luck!

Julia,
If you want to attend College for the Economics degree that sounds like a great plan. Many Banks and Insurance companies look highly upon Economics degrees. The degree will lay the foundation for you to pursue your goal of becoming an investment banker.
