Hi Ajiboye! Teaching, salaries can vary significantly based on factors like location, years of experience, and the age group you teach. On average, teachers in the United States earn $26,193 per year. However, if you’re interested in online English teaching, new teachers with no experience or degree can earn an average hourly rate of $8 to $15, while more experienced teachers may make up to $50 per hour. Keep in mind that online teaching offers flexibility and minimal overhead costs!

As others have mentioned, teacher salary is highly variable. For example, I used to be a teacher in Texas, in the DFW metroplex. I taught for 6 years and before moving to a different career path, I was earning $72,000 annually as a teacher, fine arts department chair, and dance/drill team sponsor. If you sponsor activities and extracurriculars, there are often stipends associated with those additional responsibilities that can help increase your earnings. Most public school districts post their salary schedules on their career page, which is helpful.

About $40,000. I live in Miami so maybe you get $50,000 since it is expensive to live here. The problem is you can't rent a 1 bedroom apartment on that salary. I mention Miami because other contributors will tell you salaries vary.

I'm assuming you're asking how much you could earn if you were a teacher. It can vary state by state and depend on your own education level. Organizations like the NEA (National Educators Association) provide resources that can point you in the right direction: https://www.nea.org/resource-library/educator-pay-and-student-spending-how-does-your-state-rank.

Hi there! To answer your question in a different way, if you're not motivated primarily by salary, once you have your teaching degree and you can apply to work in English language schools around the world, which can give you an incredible amount of life experience, connections, and opportunities in different ways. Places like South Korea and Japan pay on the higher end, and give you the opportunity to travel all around Asia during your break periods. They will usually fly you to and from the country when you start your contract as well as paying your rent, meaning outgoing costs are very low. More $$ to explore and find out about yourself and the world around you!

Hello! The range of teacher salaries can differ significantly, so it's advantageous to conduct an online search for a more specific understanding. You can use search terms like "how to find salary information" or "how to find salary information for teachers" on Google. Your geographical location plays a significant role as well, especially if you're in the US where K-12 teacher salaries can vary greatly from state to state. Also, the type of teaching you do can influence your pay scale. For instance, teaching adults or conducting online courses may have different salary ranges. To get the most accurate information, it's beneficial to refine your search criteria. Have fun exploring!
