While there isn't a one-size-fits-all guide since everyone is unique, in my experience, the challenging part was handling "Freedom" and "Procrastination". This is particularly true when we, as youngsters, reside with our parents.

Like Isaias mentioned, it is hard to say since everyone is different. Along with the "freedom" and "procrastination" mentioned, I would also want to add "money" and "time. When it comes to college life, you would want to have a firm grasp on managing time. That is especially true if you are trying to do clubs, a job, etc. You would want to manage your time well enough to know when are the activities you want to do and if you have free time to do it outside of school work. The same thing can be considered with money. With money, it can depend on the person and their needs. For example, are you getting financial assistance with college, are you living with parents, how much do you want to spend in a week. Depending on some factors can really influence how much you should spend and save with money.

College can be different for everyone, but I found the most difficult aspects to be adjusting to a new lifestyle and time management. I lived in the dorms my freshman year and it required an adjustment as far as sharing a room and sharing a bathroom with everyone on the floor. I also had to focus on time management as far as attending classes, socializing, and studying. I also had an internship and part time job after my freshman year which required some long days. I think it is important to establish boundaries and priorities to make sure you accomplish your goals and do well in school while enjoying other aspects of college life.

The hardest thing to manage in college for me was time management.

Depending on your courseload, and the type of classes you are taking, it can require hours of hard work. During my first semester of college, I wasn't allowed to choose my classes, but I learned a lot about scheduling my classes. I had an evening class one day followed by an early morning class the next day. To make matters worse, I had an hour commute to and from campus. I found myself in a time crunch, and at times, pulled multiple all-nighters to get all my work done.

When I had the chance to choose my classes, I decided to take two difficult classes balanced out with two mild elective classes opposed to taking all my difficult classes in one semester. I knew I needed to budget my commute time into my schedule, so I avoided early morning classes. As a result, I had a manageable schedule with classes held during times I knew I would be able to attend and perform at my optimal.

During mid-terms and finals week, it can be a difficult time, so studying ahead of time is extremely crucial. Try keeping a schedule/planner to help us stay organized of important assignments/dates.
