Jerome’s Answer
You sure can pursue a degree in human or veterinary medicine with your public health degree.
It would give you a better understanding of population medicine and epidemiology of diseases.
As a clinician or physician or surgeon, with a prior background in public health, you would be able to link diseases with environmental and host and agent factors easily and plan for effectively on treatment, prevention, and control.
Best wishes.

Emmanuel,
Yes, you can pursue medicine with a degree in anything, including public health. Your background in public health might even help you stand out, and I believe that education and training (with or without work experience) in public health bring much value to medical practice regardless of specialty.
Let me know if you have any specific questions I can help with. Good luck!

Absolutely! In fact, I am a doctor and now getting my Masters in Public Health. You will need to take all the pre-requisite courses to take the MCAT and get into medical school but a degree in public health will serve you well in medicine. So many of the issues that we see as physicians are related to a person's life course or situation and you will understand that with the degree you have.
Best of luck to you!

Hello Emmanuel. Regardless of whatever undergraduate or post-graduate degrees one obtains in relevant, adjacent or other fields, it is still possible to pursue a career in medicine. Because that ultimately comes down to applying to and subsequently being accepted to a medical school. And then graduating and taking licensing exams and applying for residency (post-graduate) training opportunities.
