I think you first need to decide on the direction that interests you, and then consider educational institutions of the corresponding profile.

What to look for when choosing a university:

Availability of a specialty of interest at the university;
State or non-state.  All state educational institutions have budget places and paid departments.

Availability of state accreditation.

Number of budget places in selected areas.  The larger the admission plan for the 1st year, the easier it is to enroll there.

Passing grade in selected areas.

Cost of education. 

Dormitory. 
Availability of your own dormitory, its distance from the campus and the cost of living.

Additional programs. 
Many colleges offer their students professional courses in related specialties, second degree programs in collaboration with foreign universities, creative associations and sports sections.

Foreign languages.  What foreign languages ​​can you study at a university?  How much English is studied and at what level?

Practice.  How is student practice organized?  In which companies do students do internships or internships?  Does the university provide internship placements?

International internships.  Does the university organize internships in which countries, for students of which specialties?  Paid or free?

Where do graduates work?  Does the college have a graduate employment center, what vacancies does it offer?  What companies have university graduates found work in?

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. Different colleges have strength in different subjects. So, you need to find out what careers you have interest first. Then, you can explore the colleges which are good at those subjects.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your hobbies, favorite subjects, etc. and identify the related careers
E.g. If you like music, would you like to be a musician, musical artist, singer, music composer, music producer ,etc
If you have interest in maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, banker, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue. You can then focus on the relevant subjects of these careers
5. Explore the colleges review on these subjects and find out the entry criteria

I'd look for 3 things. How past students talk about their experiences, the level of engagement the alumni association has (connections matter) and the quality of the program that they offer. You can find a fair amount of research online that could help you find success with these searches.

Think about a number of factors before you dive in. Do you want a small, medium or large college; do you want to live on campus or commute to school, do you care about sports programs and fraternity/sororities. Once you have narrowed down the landscape then start to look at colleges that fit you requirements; suggest look in state first for lower tuition costs. If you find schools in your narrowed search that you like or are getting positive reviews from friends and families; then you schedule tours. Your school may "call out" to you during the visits
