What are some schools that famous musicians have graduated from?

I would like to know because I'm wondering if there are any schools that just seem to produce people in the #music-industry

Alex’s Answer

There are plenty. Elton John - Royal Academy of Music, Renee Fleming - Eastman, Idina Menzel - New York University, Yo Yo Ma - Juilliard, Branford Marsallis - Berklee College of Music. It matters more who they studied with. The best schools depend on the instrument. It also depends on which aspect of the music industry you are interested in. While Berklee's alumni list includes members of Journey and The Dixie Chicks, Eastman and Juillard have produced many members of the world's greatest orchestras. Many Broadway musicians came from NYU. Lots of musicians recording the soundtracks for James Bond, Star Wars, or Lord of the Rings came from the Royal Academy. They all can produce musicians in any genre, but most are definitely centered towards certain areas.
