In Boston, you have many great options -- Boston Conservatory, Emerson College, Boston University, Brandeis -- all great schools for performers. You can major in Acting or Performance Studies, but truly, anything you study that helps you to grow as a person will add to your performance skills.

Hello Shonnelia many colleges offer Majors in performing arts. With your degree you can become an actress, or maybe stage director. I have a friend that went to school for Theater so she was required to participate or maybe even write or direct a student play. She also had a music background in playing piano which helped. As a singer you may want to take a music class. Here in Philadelphia we have a lot of theaters and one of them named walnut street theater puts on plays for children. It may help to research the top performing arts schools in the country and begin there.
