FYI Surgery is very hard. You need to be the best of the best in medical school. My sister's friend is married to a neurosurgeon and just to let you know, he gets threats all the time for lawsuits.

A "brain surgeon" is known in the medical field as a Neurosurgeon. This typically involves a minimum of getting a 4 year Bachelor's degree followed by 4 years in medical school to get a MD or DO. Then specifically for neurosurgery another 7 years of residency before having the opportunity to sit for board certification by the The American Board of Neurological Surgery.
