How many years of school are required to become a medical examiner?

some clarification, I would like to know the years of college, medical school, residence etc. #forensic #medical-examiner

To become a medical examiner you would need to have an undergraduate degree (4 years), Medical Degree (4 years), followed by a residency (3-7 years) and finally certification to become an examiner.

Thank you comment icon I agree; I plan to become a forensic pathologist which is something very similar. I do believe that you need four years of schooling, then 4 years towards a medical graduate degree. I am not sure how many years of residency, but it seems like this person has it all mapped out for you! Tiffany
