How do I mix trap beats?

Well it depends on your taste and the sound your going for. You can spice up the kick and bass, plus melody. Or you can use plug-ins to bring about the desired effect. Spicing it up means using reverb, EQ's, compressors, etc. To whatever track you think needs it. Plug-ins such as Plug-in Alliance. Do the same just gonna cost you more. Plug-ins are needed so don't get discouraged. Try different ones and never download anything you don't have a license for. Also practice makes perfect so try some of the sites Frank mentioned to hone your skills and don't limit yourself to trap as Frank said. There is alot of good music that will inspire your creativity. I agree with everything Frank said. I use both headphones and monitors in my process in order to keep on good terms with my neighbors, but totally rely on the monitors for the finals. I'm a big fan of ADPTR Metric AB as well. I'm not sure how far along you are with learning production, but here's a specific trap beat mixing video from UK beat producer LLB that you might find useful. I've also included links to his library site and his other YouTube videos. Good luck and have fun!
