Lirio’s Answer

To become a surgeon, you start by getting a bachelor’s degree, usually in a science like biology or chemistry. After that, you go to medical school for four years to earn your Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

Next, you complete a residency in surgery, which takes about five to seven years. Some surgeons then choose to do a fellowship for additional training in a specific area, which can take one to three more years.

In total, it takes around 13 to 15 years of education and training after high school to become a surgeon.

Justina’s Answer

You need to enroll in a pre-med program as an undergraduate. For my college, the undergrad degrees were Microbiology and Biochemistry.
