Working Hard is a matter of perspective. Try your best and find out what is it that you are trying to accomplish? If it is for a job you may want you want to think about the fact you may be "applying" for your next job. First impressions are important. You don't want to be the person that people avoid or try not to get because if they get you the issue won't be resolved. When it comes the time for new roles or jobs you want someone to speak up for you. They may say Mia is a hard worker that will try her best I love working with her. How will that benefit you? More opportunities, less negativity, positive reinforcement. Also when you put in effort when it's time for you people are more than willing to step up for you. I know that I am a lot more willing to put myself out for people who will do the work.

Hi Mercy! Working hard, quite frankly, sucks a lot of the time, but working hard also builds character for employers. For me, math never came naturally to me, so I had to work twice as hard as some of my classmates who easily calculated equations and excelled in math. Working hard and achieving an end result is satisfying! When we work hard, we learn attentiveness, determination, responsibility and more! The more I work hard, the more it pays off. Trust me, your hard work will NOT go unnoticed. As for mechanisms for hard work, I find something I either struggle with or want to achieve. Then I make a step by step plan on how I will achieve it over a set period of time. I made to-do lists, create reminders on my phone, etc. to help me achieve it. I hope this helps!

It's super important to set clear goals, as they give us a sense of direction and purpose in our lives. When we know what we want to achieve, it's like having a roadmap to success. Clear goals keep us focused, help us make smart decisions, and allow us to use our time and resources wisely. They give us a sense of purpose and drive, offering a clear target to aim for. When we have a clear picture of our goals, we can point all our efforts and energy in the right direction, boosting our chances of success and achievement.

I am not certain there is any one mechanism that will force anyone to work hard. It is either an intrinsic or extrinsic motivation. For example, maybe you want good grades because counselors and teachers are telling you that colleges are more likely to admit students with goods grades. This is more of an extrinsic motivation. You are working hard for good grades because that is what colleges want. Whereas if you like getting good grades and want to do well, you might work harder on your own, regardless of what schools want. That is an intrinsic motivation.
It is not necessarily good or bad to have one or the other as your reasoning for working hard. But I will say, I believe intrinsic tends to take you a bit farther. The external factors that drive work habits will only last for so long. While wanting to strive for and achieve your goals in life will motivate you a whole lot longer and get you through many more challenging situations than external factors on their own.
I think it will also depend on what you are trying to achieve and whether you know what you want. When you do not have a clear path, it is challenging to be motivated to work hard. Especially if you are not sure what the end result you are hoping to achieve is. A good starting point for anyone is to first set your goals, then work towards achieving those.
Final point, most good things do not come for free. You will have dreams and things that you want to achieve in life and a sure path to those dreams becoming reality is with hard work and perseverance.
