Steve’s Answer

Zoe,

Alongside the brilliant ideas shared earlier, I want to recommend a few more paths that align perfectly with your interests.

One exciting path is Impact Investing. This unique approach merges the world of traditional financial investing with the pursuit of social objectives beyond just monetary gains. Numerous firms specialize in this field, and you'll find that many established investment firms have a dedicated impact investing team.

Another fascinating area you might consider is Investor Relations within a larger, particularly public, company. Roles in Investor Relations highly value a finance background, and they offer abundant opportunities for interaction with both individual and institutional investors, as well as other important company stakeholders. The most successful professionals in this field skillfully blend robust financial knowledge with captivating storytelling.

Wishing you the best on your journey!

Ian’s Answer

Mentioned a couple of times here, private wealth management / personal financial advice would bridge between an interest in finance, and socialization with a mindful element to the work. Planning, socializing, and selling are key skills for growing your client portfolio, while an interest in finance and mindfulness will help identify and match your clients' needs in terms of the actual portfolio management. You would have to be mindful of a client's risk tolerance for example, or if they wanted to make investments alongside ethical considerations. Good luck researching careers, this is just one of many possibilities!

Olatunde’s Answer

Hey there!

It seems to me that you have all it takes to be successful - "working well with others." I quote I typically use to anyone I coach is that the greatest asset to humanity is human beings. If you can continue to practice, social and emotional intelligence with your mindfulness and refine your socialization skills, including the ability to listen with empathy and connect people you will undoubtedly be successful in whatever it is you do - whether it involves marketing/selling or in a finance related industry and it will pay.

People remember how you made them feel more than what you say to them - move people and you will move mountains.

Good luck - super excited for you and what you will become in the future!

Lacey’s Answer

Selling insurance or giving financial advice are great job options to consider. If you're looking for something a bit more inventive, why not think about roles in consulting or strategy? Remember, being attentive and good with people can boost your success in many jobs, even those that don't involve directly dealing with clients.

Renee’s Answer

Hi Zoe,
Given your interest in aligning skills and values, with a focus on finance, socialization, and mindfulness, coupled with strong abilities in planning, socializing, and selling, I believe one fitting career path would be in corporate event planning. Opportunities abound, from organizing community events for healthcare organizations to orchestrating large-scale gatherings for hotels or even exploring roles within Disney's community event career section. You have many talents and interests. Opportunities will come up to incorporate your other skills or you just make the opportunities happen as you get stronger in your field.
