How can I convince my parents to let me be a kpop idol?
I love kpop and really want to be an idol, but my parents wont let me be one and i don't know why. please help someone

To persuade your parents about becoming a k-pop star, you have to share with them the steps to get to that goal. Are you going to continue to go to school? Maybe you want to pursue vocal classes and dance classes as well. As you get better and better you can work with a manager to get you into the k-pop scene. I would still pursue going to school and balance that with your goal of becoming a k-pop singer.

Wow, I feel your passion for wanting to be a K-Pop star/idol and as a person in the entertainment industry, I always feel it is necessary, honest and useful to give advice based on my knowledge and integrity. You have received some excellent advice from the other advisors. I would like to provide you with some advisory information that may help you see things from a different perspective that, in turn, may make it possible for you to perform as a K-Pop singer now.
If you speak of your desire to perform with the end result being becoming a star or an idol, that is something that you will need to reconsider. Being a star or an idol is not something that is up to you, the performer. You would be chosen by many other people who are in agreement that you can generate revenue for them as well as being above and beyond a basic level of popularity with audiences. I do understand that K-Pop is not a genre, rather a location based description, and that the industry labels the singers as Idols and Stars. This is disillusioning. It takes being in the right place at the right time around the people who can manufacture that which makes some people famous. There are trillions of very talented performers who are not famous that have excellent careers and gain income from their work. You have to reassess your motivation and intent that you have for your talent. It should not be overlooked, yet it should be realized authentically. If you are serious about singing, you can think about broadening your scope to widen your talent range, not just for K-Pop. Everyone's career path goes differently and yours will too.
Take into consideration your age, the state and town you live in, the popularity or non-popularity of K-Pop music in your town, and that when you are 18, you can pursue any career you want. Your parents only have your best interest at heart and have much life experience, so their advice is very valuable at this time in your life. You have to hear beyond their "no" and come to realize the reasons. If they haven't explained why, have a cordial conversation in which you ask them why.
For now, I advise to not give up what you love doing. Find some friends at school that like K-Pop also and form a band. Perform in school events, at fairs, in videos on You Tube - anywhere. Work at it now so that when you become 18, you will be right on top of the things you need to do for a professional singing career. I know this is disappointing because K-Pop singers are young teens, but you would need to travel very far for training and selection, have the financial means and be far away from your family to be trained and showcased. These factors may be why your parents are not in favor of this, but you can try doing it locally for now. Have fun and take it one step at a time.
