How do I know i chose the right career?

When pondering over your career path, there are several key factors to bear in mind. Personally, I strive to ensure that my work not only has a significant impact, but also brings me joy. It's crucial to feel a sense of achievement, whether it's for your own personal growth or for the benefit of others. Most importantly, I encourage you to find passion in your work. This passion will fuel your enjoyment and motivation, making your career journey a fulfilling one.

Great question! There are already many great responses, so I'll throw out an alternative approach / thought. Given you're super early in your career development, you have the runway to try different things & pivot. There are many out there (myself included) who had a vision for what we'd be, but end up somewhere different! While developing your career, you may find yourself identifying with different (new) passions. The "right" career, is the one which continues to make you feel happy, excited, and something you look forward to. When you have a passion for what you're doing, it'll take you far!

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. The most important is to find out what careers you have interest.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your favorite subjects, hobbies, etc. and identify the related careers
E.g.. If you like music, would you like to be a musician, singer, musical artist, music producer, music composer, etc.
If you have interest in maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest.
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in colleges
