Adam’s Answer

College is a journey that you shape. It's not as simple as picking out a pair of jeans, it's about creating an experience that suits you.

Begin by identifying your passion. Find out if there's a college renowned for that field. Perhaps there's a book that sparked your curiosity - the author might just be a professor at a university, offering you the chance to learn directly from them. Ever dreamt of living in a different part of the country? Explore out-of-state colleges, but keep in mind the potential extra costs. If sports fuel your spirit, consider universities with high-profile teams in your preferred sport.

Remember, college is a time for discovery and expanding your horizons. It can be a significant investment, so be wise. Pursue what ignites your interest, don't just study for the sake of it. You'll forge friendships, face challenges, mature, experience highs and lows, and create unforgettable memories. This is true for any college; they just provide the backdrop and facilities for your learning journey. The rest is in your hands. It's your story to write.

Rebecca’s Answer

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. Different colleges have strength in different subjects. Firstly, you may need to find out what careers you have interest. The relevant subjects are the major and minor you can consider.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your favourite subjects, hobbies, etc. and identify the related careers
E.g. If you like music, would you like to be a musician, singe, musical artist, music composer, music producer, etc.
If you have interest in maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, banker, financial artist, maths teacher, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue. The relevant subjects of these careers are the major and minor you can consider.
5. Explore the college reviews on these subjects and find out the entry criteria
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Bonnie’s Answer

Hey Carly, the true essence of a place is only revealed once you step foot in it. But, I urge you to make your college or university choice considering the various factors they offer like the majors and minors available, the presence of Greek life, and so on. Don't forget to take a campus tour to make sure it aligns with your vision and feels right for you. Wishing you all the best on your journey!

Actively seek out opportunities outside of academics. Join activities or campus groups where you will have the chance to build relationships with others. Don't stress, you've got this!
