I was a medical assistant for almost 11 years, it is very fast paced, think about it as the doctor needs you to take medical history and vitals before they see the patient. I loved it, n the other hand, in Kansas it doesn't pay well for all you have to do. Good luck

Medical Assistant positions will vary greatly depending on where you are working, including hospital vs clinic vs office, etc. Also, locations in certain parts of a city may be at a higher level than a more rural area. It is an excellent field and something that only someone working in that field and in a particular area can truly answer.
