I live in the Philippines, I want to become a marine biologist or anything related, but i dont know where or how or what to start in??

Personally ive never met or seen any fellow Filipino people work in fields related to marine life, and as of now being in junior highschool i wanna be able to figure it out as soon as possible, what should i be learning? what should i be aiming for? but most importantly I dont know how to do it in my environment, everyone is about being nurses or engineers, its not commonplace at all to see a set and ready path available for the career id want.

Like what would i pick as a track? what strand would i pick next? how should i go on with living my life with a goal like this in mind?

Starting with summer camps or internships can be a great way to kickstart your journey. Look for universities that offer your intended major and explore their camp programs. You might need to consider colleges beyond your state or even your country. For instance, The University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) hosts camps related to this field. Wishing you the best of luck!

Hi Vinie,

Firstly, I think its great that you are aiming for a cool profession! You may want to check local universities offering this kind of course:

As junior high, I would suggest to focus on basic courses such as chemistry, physics, biology, etc to strengthen your knowledge foundations which will be of great help once you pursue this career.
