How do I present my discoveries as an independent researcher?

I am very neurodiverse. My discoveries are major importance type but my ability to get anyone to agree to even consider meeting me or physically inspecting my claim is impossible. So how do I get to meet a professional who is willing to look at the evidence in person? Photo submissions don't work.

Hello!

You can also go to a local college and find a professor or even anyone in the profession of the research you are pursing and ask to work under them or have them mentor you through it!

Hello, Melissa !

Wow, this is a great question ! I am impressed with your ambition and eagerness to get your work out there. Although you may have to bear with the time it takes as you are still a student, you are gradually earning your way into meeting new people and expanding your role in the Archeology and Anthropology world ! Do not be discouraged !

The first thing may seem rather pedestrian, but find a website on which you can write your findings and insert the photos. The website Open Anthropology may be this kind of website (link is below). You can use their American Anthropological Association website for resources such as Job Board, Job Search Research, Membership Information, Publications and more. Submit your findings to the journal American Anthropologist (link is below). All instructions on how to submit you work is detailed on the website.

There is a book called, "How to Get Published In Anthropology" that you can take from the Library, purchase at a book store or purchase online. I would also suggest that you meet with some of the department professors at your college and get their feedback and hopefully they have resources for students.

Keep in mind that it is a process and since you are independent, you still have to join associations and network and make contacts. You can even form a group on campus and do projects and have them publicized. Remember that it is still a career with steps to take and more time in college will provide you with opportunities and resources for what you want to do. I have left a link for you below about the steps it takes before you can expect to have your work published and recognized. I don't know where you are in the process, but do return here if you have more questions and mention how far in you are as a student.

I hope this is helpful and I wish you all the best !

Be careful who you share your discoveries with. Connect with sites that are related to anthropological research. Or go to a local college and connect with a professor in the field your research is relevant.
