The more writing you do, the more proficient you'll get at it. For your scholarship prompts, you can recycle some of your ideas and responses to save time. I only caution you to take the time that you need to answer the question that's asked. Especially with writing prompts related to university admissions and/or scholarships, you want to put your best out there. It's a different kind of writing than purely academic (like what you would do for a term paper, for instance), so it requires a little more time to finesse your ideas and present them in a readable way, encouraging the reader to continue while entertaining them with substance.
