This is a good question !
It's not so much that High School will prepare you for Medical School as will be how college will prepare you for Medical School, so there's really no urgency right now to worry about courses to choose. You can, however, take in high school classes that are connected to human sciences. You will not get your medical education until you enroll in medical school which will be some years from now.
For this year, if you are undecided, choose the classes recommended by your high school guidance counselor as they would know how many credits are needed as well as what actual courses are offered by your high school. They would also be the best to recommend as they have your school records and grades and can give you the best courses that will serve you this year.
This year, you can pay special attention to math, English and any life sciences. I don't know what grade you are in but life sciences consist of biology, anatomy, psychology, chemistry and also consider physics. It's going to depend on what your high school offers. Your high school subjects and grades will not "get" you into Medical School.
Before Medical School, you will go to undergraduate college for four years and earn a Bachelors Degree. That is where you will choose a major course of study and your major would be in one of the life sciences, depending on if you're going to medical school for physical health or mental health medicine. There's plenty of time to decide on a college major, though.
To choose a major before attending Medical School, the best way would be to read the requirements of the Medical School you want to apply to. This will tell you what you should prepare in undergraduate college. Each Medical School has different requirements, so it's best to know what school you will be planning for, read the requirements of that school so that you'll be ready to enter. Medical School requirements are not all the same. It's too early to know what to take in college unless you know the Medical School you will go to. Some require different courses and some require certain types of Lab Work while others do not.
So since you are in high school and you have a strong interest in medicine, take as much high school life science that you can. Also sharpen your public speaking, presentational and written skills which will prepare you for undergraduate college. Take it one step at a time. Join any health oriented clubs or groups and attend Health events while in high school, too. This is for your personal experience and growth and knowledge, not to get into medical school.
Also keep in mind that there is a high chance that you will have to take the medical school exam if required. It is called the Medical College Admission Test. That is one element that would "get you into Medical School". But not all Medical Schools require this exam score but most medical schools in the United States and Canada do require it. I have left a link below to a website that you can read if you are curious about Medical School while in high school. It talks about what medical school admissions committees look for in a candidate as well as covers everything about planning for medical school.
I hope this is helpful and I hope you have a wonderful school year with lots of activities and classes that you really like !
