Pay close attention to your customers and prioritize their needs. Once you confirm that these needs hold value beyond just one customer, focus on meeting them.

Mohammed’s Answer

Building on my colleague's earlier point about boosting your business success, regardless of your business type, the top priority should always be customer satisfaction with your products or services. To achieve this, you need to gain a deep understanding of your market through thorough research. Regularly scrutinize market trends, customer preferences, and competitor actions to pinpoint opportunities and potential risks. Also, it's crucial to know your customer well. Create comprehensive customer profiles and make sure that your products or services cater to their needs and address their challenges.

Kevin P’s Answer

Most businesses are a game of people. You want a successful business, you need to be successful with people.

Great products or amazing services go so far, but people or clients are the wheel that keeps this moving forward.

So businessmen, successful ones, start with a focus on their product or service but once there is traction it comes about the people. It comes from the science of the business to the art of people.

Learn to talk to people, connect with them on a deeper level. This will make you the successful business person you want to be.

But it’s important to note its clients just as much as employees. But I think I hammered that point home enough. You got this.

Be the success you want to be.

deborah’s Answer

Hello Andrew! I have a few key pieces of advice to operate a business successful over the long term.

1. Conduct business planning. Research, develop the plan, put plan into action, and adjust the plan based on results. This is not a one-time project. Business planning is ongoing.
2. Carefully design your customer experience. Exceptional customer service will help you ward off competition and maximize customer loyalty.
3. Be organized. Recordkeeping/bookkeeping is key to understanding how your business is performing financially. Careful tracking of revenue and expenses will give you helpful information to make sound business decisions.
4. Become or hire sales and marketing expertise. Many entrepreneurs do not have prior sales or marketing expertise. These activities are key to growing your business.
5. Create a team. A business owner cannot be successful alone, "wearing the many hats" that are needed in running a business. Marketing, sales, service, producing products/services, bookkeeping, etc. A team can be employees. It can also be mentors, advisors, professional service providers (example: accountant, banker, lawyer, advertising agency, etc.), family, friends, and other supporters.
6. Have patience, be humble, and stay determined!

I hope my answer is helpful to you. Best wishes!

Melissa’s Answer

Focus on the problem that you are solving and be the best at it! When a business first starts it typically takes an hourglass approach for product market fit, in the beginning you'll take on any client that will buy your product, as you evolve you'll find commonalities and a key type of customer, then go all in on this specific use case that's repeatable. You can't serve every market and a niche experience tailor to on key group is the goal. Perfect one group then expand to the next logical type.

Priyanka’s Answer

Pay attention to your customers! Seek opportunities for open, sincere dialogues with them. Gather the feedback you require and formulate a strategy to respond to that feedback. Avoid trying to handle everything simultaneously. Rank the feedback in order of importance and concentrate on tackling one issue at a time.

Huib’s Answer

Hey, I'd say you want to make sure you hire some kind and considerate people that you trust. No one will ever love your business quite as much as you, the owner, but you can get your staff on your side, looking out for your business, your customers just by respecting them, treating them with kindness and show how much you value them. You can't run a successful business with employees who don't care.
