Honestly most RBTs that I know got entry level positions and were trained on the job (and get paid for training hours). Usually the requirements are to be age 18 or older, maybe know some psychology, and must must love working with children.
However if you are interested in getting a certification first, here is a free course: https://autismpartnershipfoundation.org/courses/rbt/?order=536565&key=wc_order_QZajHdlZeMBLd
Your local community college may also have free courses!

To become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), you must meet the following requirements:
Be at least 18 years old. Hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Pass a criminal background check. Complete a 40-hour RBT training course that covers the RBT Task List, including at least three hours in ethics and professional conduct. Pass an RBT Competency Assessment with a BCBA. Pass the RBT Certification Exam administered by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
The RBT certification process typically takes about 6–8 months to complete. However, it may take longer, depending on your schedule and how quickly you can complete the training and exams.
Here are some additional tips for becoming an RBT:
Find an accredited RBT training program. There are many online and in-person RBT training programs available. Make sure to choose a program that is accredited by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Study hard for the RBT exam. The RBT exam is a challenging exam, so it is important to study hard and prepare yourself for the exam. There are many resources available to help you study for the RBT exam, such as practice exams and study guides. Get experience working with children or adults with autism. The RBT certification is a paraprofessional certification, so it is important to have experience working with children or adults with autism. You can gain experience by volunteering in a school or therapy setting. Network with other RBTs. Networking with other RBTs can be a great way to learn more about the field and find job opportunities. You can join online forums or attend RBT conferences to meet other RBTs.
The RBT certification is a great way to help children and adults with autism reach their full potential. RBTs provide direct behavioral therapy services under the supervision of a licensed behavior analyst. If you are interested in helping people with autism, then becoming an RBT may be a great career choice for you.

Becoming an ABA (I am one myself) depends on many factors, but to simplify it, many ASD companies have entry-level positions. The one that I work for trains at entry level. I went through forty hours of training via Telehealth (Zoom) and I have never had such a job in such a field. My supervisors are willing to help and guide me throughout the process. But there are three extremely important elements that you must take into consideration if you want to be successful in this field.
The first one is that you must like working with children.
The second one is that you must have patience since being an ABA requires patience.
The third one is that you must build rapport. I have seen many BIs (Behavior interventionists, the official job description) who get frustrated and overwhelmed because they cannot get their clients to follow directions. Then I notice that they do not stoop down to their level. Children love it when adults interact with them in a friendly, understanding way. Be playful, get excited, and they will follow your guidance.
Lastly, get excited, do not take it as a job, but as a commitment to change autistic children's lives.
