How to Start in Digital Marketing?

I studied International Business, but after a brief period in the job market, I realized that it wasn't my passion. Currently, I see that digital marketing is a highly demanded skill and is more aligned with my interests. In fact, I’m excited to learn about the subject, but it’s a bit overwhelming to see all the information out there—SEO, SEM, ADS, social media strategies—and I don’t know where to start or which path to take to get my first job opportunity and begin working.

Don't confuse yourself.
To start digital marketing, first of all, learn the basics.
After learning the basics, you should follow the "T" learning path.
That is, you will choose one domain let's suppose "Blogging" and along with that you have to cover SEO, Google Analytics and much more.
So, in short ;
Clear the basics
Select a domain that aligns with your interests
Dive deep into that domain and look for the related skills that will help you in that domain.

I would advise looking for internships or part time roles in a small company where you are near the action, or where you would get the chance to experience a lot of different types of digital marketing. Unlike large teams where everyone is specialized, smaller teams rely on a Swiss army knife marketer. By getting into this type of role you will get a lot of hands-on experience and get a better sense of understanding the different avenues and what's required for each. The other benefit is you will build experience across all the fields, so it will help you once you do decide where to specialize! There's a lot of benefit starting as a generalist marketer and then working toward a speciality later.
