To become a surgeon, you need to go to medical school after graduating college. Most such students (called "pre-meds") major in one of the hard sciences, most often biology.
This is not required. You can actually major in ANYTHING in college if you are pre-med, but sciences seem to help. Biology and anatomy are obvious choices. Chemistry is another popular one. But if you want to run a private practice, maybe a business degree would help.
Your high school college counselor should have more advice for you. I'd strongly recommend you talk to her or him.
